Description
Vintage Japan Bulldog Puppy in Barrel Salt & Pepper Shakers Ceramic Dog Pair Vintage ceramic bulldog puppy salt and pepper shakers made in Japan, dating to approximately the 1950s-1960s. This adorable figural pair features grumpy bulldog puppies peeking over wooden barrels with hand-painted details. Both retain their original corks, and one is marked Japan on the base. Overall, they display nicely with no cracks detected. There are a few small glaze chips and paint wear consistent with age, including chips on one puppy's head and ear (see photos). They were carefully cleaned, but some dust, grime, or discoloration may still remain in recessed areas from decades of storage. A buyer who prefers a more detailed cleaning may be able to improve their appearance further. Please review all photos carefully as they are part of the description.
