Ten (Heaven) for the Kamidana (Shinto altar)

I have written this.

When there is a room or hallway above the Kamidana, it is considered disrespectful to the gods because people would be walking above them.

Therefore, by attaching the characters Ten (Heaven), Sora (Sky), or Kumo (Cloud) to the ceiling above the Kamidana,
it indicates that the space above is indeed that,
and we hope you will make use of this traditional and polite practice to avoid being disrespectful.


The size is
approximately 13.6 cm (height) x 12.4 cm (width).

Written in black ink on elegant and beautiful white Japanese paper with a pattern ?
