Description
This is a dried specimen of Ophiocordyceps cicadae (a type of caterpillar fungus) from Uji, Kyoto, famous for its tea.
We have completed the collection, cleaning, and drying process ourselves.
We have about 10 years of experience in this work.
We believe this caterpillar fungus retains a very characteristic cicada-like shape. It's also perfect for display!
This is an excellent specimen with a great shape and condition, featuring a long fruiting body – a true representation of a caterpillar fungus!
This is a long specimen, and excavating it was quite challenging.
We believe it will be useful for research, display, and educational purposes.
