【Unused】OIGEN Cooktop, Shallow Square Shape, Oval, Oigen, Ryogen Chuzo, Seieido
From the manufacturer's website
■ This is a cast iron square pot made by Oigen Foundry (OIGEN), a cast iron manufacturer in Oshu City, Iwate Prefecture, famous for its Nambu Tekki (Nambu cast ironware).
■ Kasa-gata is a square-shaped pot. It's suitable for regular stewed dishes, but its shape is particularly convenient for stewing whole chickens, large fish, or long vegetables.
■ Iron is a material with excellent thermal conductivity, it oils well, and is suitable for cooking utensils. Among them, cast iron products are thick, so they are less likely to burn and have excellent heat retention.
■ The thickness unique to cast iron and the weight of the lid store heat firmly, allowing food to cook evenly.
■ The surface of the iron is baked and coated, but due to countless invisible pinholes, a small amount of iron is released during cooking, allowing for iron supplementation.
■ A pot trivet is also included.
