Black Knight Covered Vegetable Bowl Patricia Brown Waldenburg Studios Germany

Stunning ceramic covered vegetable serving dish with rim and handles is a highly collectible Patricia Brown pattern by Black Knight. It features a sophisticated cream-bodied design accented by vibrant multi-color floral sprays and delicate brown scrollwork. The piece is finished with a brilliant gold-encrusted rim and gold-gilt handles on both the bowl and the lid.  The Black Knight brand represents a unique chapter in ceramic history. These pieces were manufactured by the prestigious Hutschenreuther factory in Germany specifically for the high-end American market between 1925 and 1941. The brand was known for its Hohenberg Studios decorations, which rivaled the finest china of the era. Production ceased abruptly at the start of WWII, making these pieces a finite and historical  VERY GOOD preowned condition.  3 small places have rubs in the gold.  The tippy top of the handle on the lid, one of the bowl handles, and one spot near the bottom.  The bottom rim has a few flea bites, and the rim of the lid has 2 small chips. All flaws are shown clearly in photos.  No cracks, breaks, repairs or crazing.  Please see all photos for an accurate depiction of this item.
