Vintage 1950s Bond St Jewel Case Jewelry Box Gold Velvet USA Mid Century 12.5"

Beautiful vintage jewelry case by Bond St. Jewel Case Corp. of New York, dating approximately to the late 1950s–early 1960s.  This large jewelry box features a textured metallic gold/bronze-tone exterior with a cream and champagne-colored velvet and satin interior. The hinged lid contains six metal jewelry hooks above a gathered satin storage pocket.  Inside, an elevated organizer tray provides multiple small divided compartments for rings, earrings, brooches and other jewelry. The tray raises above a spacious lower storage area divided into larger sections for necklaces, bracelets, watches and accessories.  The underside retains its original metal maker's medallion reading “Product of Bond St. Jewel Case Corp. / New York / Made in U.S.A.” The spring-loaded lid hardware is marked “CHENEY ENGLAND.”  Measures approximately 12.5 W × 8 D × 4 H.
