Mid Century 4 Point Wool Blanket Striped Twill Weave 1950s 1960s

Beautiful mid-century wool blanket featuring a classic cream, green yellow/gold red black striped design. The blanket has a substantial, soft brushed nap and a traditional twill-type woven construction.  Based on the blanket's construction, grandmas alterations, colors, finishing, and overall appearance, I estimate it dates to approximately 1955–1965.  Grandma removed the blankets label so it has no manufacturer's label or other identifying tag, so the original mill/manufacturer is unknown. The lack of a label makes a definitive manufacturer impossible, but the traditional construction and mid-century appearance are noteworthy.  There is visible wear consistent with decades of use, including some surface wear and imperfections to the nap. The blanket retains its overall structure, attractive colors, and substantial woolen character.
