Antique Ohio Rockingham Glazed Sunburst Spongeware Pottery Bowl 9.5"

Antique American pottery bowl crafted in Ohio during the late 19th to early 20th century (circa 1880s-1910s).   Features a rich mottled Rockingham tortoiseshell spongeware glaze in deep chocolate brown over a yellowware body. Designed with a distinctive embossed sunburst or starburst fluted rib pattern molded across the underside.   Measures 9.5 inches in rim diameter and stands approximately 3 inches deep. Ideal as a statement piece for primitive country kitchen collections or early American art pottery displays.   In good antique condition with rich glaze shine. Shows typical manufacturing kilns/stilt marks and minor bottom glaze wear as expected for its age, with no major structural cracks.
