Showa-era retro paulownia chest of drawers. Recommended for old folk houses, cafes, minpaku (guest houses), and more.

This paulownia chest of drawers was used for a long time at my parents' home before coming to mine.
After that, it was used to store a large number of kimonos, obi sashes, and other items.
The purchase date is unknown.
I am now selling it as I have almost completed my decluttering.
My mother says it is a good quality item.

A paulownia chest of drawers is highly recommended for those who want to store kimonos for a long time due to its excellent moisture and insect-repellent properties, or for those seeking furniture that can be used for generations.
It has the characteristic effect where closing one drawer causes others to slightly open, as is often mentioned.

It is divided into two sections (from the bottom of the double doors).
There are dowels that come out from the bottom and are inserted to connect.
Both the exterior and interior appear to be clean.
As it is an older item, there are minor scratches and signs of sun fading.
Please check the photos for details.
I took care to place it in a suitable location and manage humidity.
I believe it can still be used for a long time.

Dimensions (assembled):
Height: 178 cm
Width: 100 cm
Depth: 44 cm

Inside the sliding doors:
2 levels with dowels and shelves.

Inside the double doors:
4 levels.

Three drawers side-by-side.

Four large drawers at the bottom:
(The number for the level is handwritten in the back right of the 4th drawer. Photos are available. Numbers 3, 2, 1 are also written.)
(The 2nd drawer appears to sag slightly, by about 4mm at most. Photos are available.)

There may be a scent of camphor or a unique house smell.
Personally, I don't notice it much.
