Description
Jolly Playmates: Tales in Prose and Rhyme is a charming late 19th-century children's book published by Central Pub. House in Cincinnati, Ohio. This antique volume features a collection of stories and poems accompanied by beautiful illustrations from various artists, including a striking color frontispiece of children with a dog in a wheelbarrow. The interior includes a handwritten gift inscription dated December 25, 1892, adding a unique historical touch. The cover displays significant wear consistent with its age, including scuffing, edge wear, and some loss to the paper boards, making it a perfect piece for collectors of Victorian-era children's literature or as a decorative vintage accent.\n\nKeywords: Victorian, Antique, 1890s, Childrens Literature, Illustrated, Cincinnati Ohio, Rare Book, Ephemera, Nursery Decor, Storybook, Gilded Age, Nostalgic, Collectible, Hardcover, Gift Inscription
